VW is set to release a hot version of the up!

VW is set to release a hot version of the up! The GT up! will follow VW's tried and tested route, making a high performance version of their small hatch back.

The GT up! comes with a wide central grille which feeds air into the 100 PS engine. Broad bumper ducts will feed air to the front brakes which are charged with stopping the GT up!

17 inch alloy wheels shod with 195-section tyres continue the sporting theme. At the rear, a deep roof spoiler will reduce lift over the rear axle, while a black diffuser and twin exhaust pipes continue the effect.

The cabin of the GT up! will also receive a makeover. A black roof lining and anthracite seats compliment the black gloss black dashboard. Meanwhile the driver will have a chunky leather-bound three-spoke steering wheel as a reminder of its sporting pretentions.
