is very happy with Finnish rookie Valtteri Bottas for his on-track speed and off-track attitude, despite him not scoring any points this season.

Bottas had his best qualifying performance of his career at the Canadian Grand Prix where he started third. However, he fell quickly once the race began and finished 14th. Bottas qualified in damp conditions, which equalized the cars, but in the dry race, he could not hold his position.

"He clearly has magnificent car control and that's fundamental for F1.

"He's also very quiet and that means he's not talking too much. And if he's not talking too much that's because he's listening and he's listening to some very good advice," said Frank Williams.

Bottas seems optimistic about the rest of his first season.

"I believe it will be possible to be in the top ten in races. We do have at least the same resources as those teams. In a way, finding faults in our car drives the development for us and hopefully it is a route that helps us catch them," said Bottas.

Neither Bottas nor Williams have scored any points this season.
