F1 team will open its factory in Grove, Oxfordshire, to the public for tours on Sunday, October 21, as part of National Motorsport week, which is promoted by the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) in the UK.
The tour will include viewing the Williams Grand Prix Collection and a complete tour of the machine shop, race bays and engineering facilities. Attendees will also get a question and answer session with the team's technical director Mike Coughlan. Finally, every attendee will be entered into a raffle for the chance of winning a hospitality package for two with Williams on a race weekend.
’'The MIA does a fantastic job and when we were approached to host a fan day we were delighted to accept. The Williams F1 ethos has always been to try and bring the world of Formula One closer to fans and this is the perfect opportunity to give them a look behind the scenes and learn about the effort that goes into putting our cars on the track. I am sure that the lucky 200 fans that will join us in October will have a fun and informative day," said Sir Frank Williams.
Tickets cost £70 per person. Half of the price of each ticket will go to Spinal Injuries Association, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Motorsport Foundation. If you are interested in touring the factory, you need to register here.
