about:

Presented in 2002 the Nissan Murano is a mid-size crossover SUV that was conceived to be the first crossover SUV for the United States and Canada. The model was first designed at Nissan America in La Jolla, California and was based on the Nissan FF-L platform during its first generation that lasted until 2007.

Having been officially presented at the 2007 Los Angeles Motor Show, the second generation of the Murano started to be sold in the beginning of 2008.

The second generation is based on the Nissan D platform, which is shared with the fourth generation Nissan Altima and the 2009 Nissan Maxima. In 2010 the European Murano received a facelift, which included an updated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine new front and rear fascias, new headlights and LED taillights, and new 18-inch wheels on the outside.
