Volkswagen has launched the updated version of its electric city car, the e-up!. The German brand has updated the exterior design in order to match the recently updated up!.
In terms of design VW has revised the front bumper which features a blue strip in the front grille to identify it as an electric model. At the back there was a redesign of the light clusters and also on the bumper. The e-up! is available exclusively in five-door variant.
The electric city car is powered by a compact electric motor delivering 82hp and with torque of 210Nm. The motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery integrated into the vehicle floor with a 18.7kWh capacity. Thanks to this the e-up! can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 13 seconds and achieve a top speed of 130km/h. Depending on road conditions, driving style and load, the average range of the e-up! goes up to 160km.
Rain sensor, the 'Coming home/Leaving home' function for the light, the 'composition phone' radio with telephone hands-free function and the 'maps + more dock' smartphone integration are some of the new features available with the new e-up!.
Optional features include a reversing camera, a multifunction steering wheel, the CCS charging socket for fast battery charging and new exterior colours
