to buy engines, KERS and transmissions for the 2014 F1 season. Cosworth will not make the move to 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engines next season, which forced Marussia to find a new supplier.

"Scuderia Ferrari is pleased to announce that Marussia F1 Team is now part of the group of its Formula 1 customer teams. The long term technical collaboration is for the supply of the entire powertrain as prescribed in the 2014 regulations," said Ferrari in a statement announcing the deal.

Marussia had used Cosworth engines for its F1 team since 2010.

"Not only will we benefit from a customer supply from the most successful engine manufacturer in Formula One’s history, but this also provides further confirmation, if it were needed, of our commitment to the sport and determination to maintain our progression towards our long-term ambitions," said Marussia F1 CEO Andy Webb.
