Mercedes W06
Current world champion had already made a shakedown session on Thursday at Silverstone, but the official presentation of the W06Mercedes-Benz W06Germany, 2015 > 2015 took place on Sunday morning in Jerez before the start of the first session of official tests .
For the new car, Mercedes claims that for 2015 it began a process of evolution of the car that won the title in 2014. After the year of introduction of hybrid technology in Formula 1, with a better understanding of the new regulations, it's time to find small details that can make the difference.
The work of the team during winter focused on mechanics, structure, aerodynamics and weight reduction. After the title achieved in 2014, Mercedes doesn't want to slow down and believes that the W06 will keep it at the top of the standings.
World champion Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will be once more behind the wheel for Mercedes.
Red Bull RB11
Red Bull meant to cause an impact to approach the 2015 season, after a disappointing year in 2014. The new RB11Red Bull RB11Austria, 2015 > 2015 had no official presentation and appeared in Jerez with an amazing camouflage livery, with Daniel Ricciardo being the first to debut the car on track.
The new head of engineering at Red Bull, Rob Marshall says that the vast majority of the changes made are not easily noticeable.
"There are some changes that affect the shape of the front of the car but beyond that most of the changes are under the skin".
Marshall says that Red Bull was able to identify areas where it could make improvements in a program that team boss Christian Horner admits was tighter than in previous years, to ensure that maximum development was included in the RB11.
Alongside Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull will rely on the Russian driver Daniil Kvyat.
Toro Rosso STR10
Toro Rosso was another team that unveiled in Jerez its car for the 2015 Formula 1 season: the STR10Toro Rosso STR10Italy, 2015 > 2015.
The Italian team has a driver lineup with two Formula 1 rookies, Spaniard driver Carlos Sainz Jr and Dutch driver Max Verstappen.
Team boss Franz Tost believes the STR10 is the best car ever produced by Toro Rosso, so he goes to the new season with the hope of achieving good results. The team states that it made a major investment in terms of design and expects to see its' results.
