version Opel is revealing the station wagon variant, the Astra Sports TourerOpel Astra Sports Tourer ...Germany, 2015 > present. The compact wagon offers the same pioneering features of the five-door version and is based on a low-weight all-new architecture that makes it 200 kilograms lighter than the previous model. It will be equipped exclusively with the latest generation Opel engines.

 

The Astra Sports Tourer shows the next evolution of Opel's design through the new chrome bar on the grille, with the badge of the brand, forming a visual unit with the headlights. The estate expands the lines of the five-door model and the slightly arched roof visually lengthens the body.

 

With a length of 4702 millimeters, 1871 millimeters wide and a height of 1499 mm, the new generation Sports Tourer displays the same dimensions as the previous model, but provides more space for occupants and luggage, with 1630 liters.

 

Lighter and with a range of more efficient engines

 

Opel developed the new Astra Sports Tourer focusing on functionality and efficiency. Thanks to the compact design and lighter body, the new generation of the Astra station wagon lost 200 kg over the previous model, mainly through the use of resistant and ultraresistant steels and changes on the front and rear suspensions.

 

The new Astra Sports Tourer will be equipped only with the latest Opel engines with outputs ranging between 95 and 200hp. The diesel engines and petrol with displacements between 1.0 and 1.6 combining the highest efficiency with excellent responsiveness and smoothness of operation.

 

The 1.6 Turbo ECOTEC from the new generation of Opel engines will be the top version of the Astra Sports Tourer and besides the 200hp output delivers a torque of 300 Nm.
