range with 87g/km of CO2, and the TGI runs on compressed natural gas and petrol. The Leon ST offers up to 1470 liters with the seats down. The Leon is now available in three body styles – three-door, five-door and estate.

“With its sporty look, its surprisingly high utility and its state-of-the-art technology, the Leon ST defines a new standard in the compact estate car class – at a very competitive price. Like the already highly successful five-door Leon and three-door Leon SC, the new ST is the perfect representative of SEAT’s brand values,” said Seat President Jürgen Stackmann.

The Leon ST estate is 4.535m long, 270mm longer than the standard Leon. It allows for 587 liters of storage in the rear, which it 287 liters more than the standard car. The car is identical in the front to the standard car, but it has an extended roof and length added behind the rear doors.

The Leon 1.6 TDI Ecomotive with start/stop and braking regeneration with a six-speed manual emits 87g/km of CO2 and uses 3.3l/100km and is available in all three, body styles. It also comes with low rolling resistance tires, a flat underbody and roof spoiler. The engine produces 109hp (110ps) and 184lb-ft (250Nm). It can get to 100km/h in 10.4 seconds. It offers a range of 1,513km (940 miles).

The 1.4 TGI can run on CNG or petrol and emits 97g/km of CO2 with a 109hp (110ps) and 148lb-ft (200Nm) engine. It can accelerate to 100km/h in 10.7 seconds and has a top speed of 121mph. It can drive 250 miles on CNG and switch seamlessly to petrol for a further 560-mile range. The two CNG tanks are located under the luggage compartment.

The launch of the new Leon models also adds new, available technology to the range like adaptive cruise control, variable power steering and adaptive dampers.
