has now decided to reveal the new model variant before the world premiere takes place in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

The range of the new S-Class Coupé will start with the S 500 version equipped with a twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8 engine with 455hp and 700Nm of torque. No value on the performance of this version was unveiled by Mercedes yet. The launch of an S 63 AMG version equipped with the twin-turbo engine 5.5-liter V8 is already scheduled for this variant as well as the S 65 AMG with a V12 engine. The range should be further complemented by the S 600 version, with a 6.0 V12 engine with 516hp.

Design

Codenamed internally as C117 the S-Class Coupé received a much more muscular design. The design details are intended to visually distinguish the sedan and coupé versions of the S-Class, more than previous versions of the two-door variant of the model managed to do.

In the center it features a TFT screen of two parts, which incorporates the tools and functions of navigation and infotainment. This system can be controlled via an optional touchpad, which is designed to work the same way as the touch screen of a smartphone, with certain finger gestures allowing you to access different functions.

In addition, the S-Class Coupé can be ordered with a HUD screen that displays important information on the windshield.

in the German brand range and it will become the first mass-produced vehicle to be equipped with an advanced system that tilts the car when cornering. It is integrated in the Magic Body Control system which had been presented with the sedan variant of the S-Class.

In addition to the tilt function, the Magic Ride Control system also has a scanner function that uses a camera mounted inside the windshield to digitally scan the road surface. With the data the system automatically changes the stiffness of the shock absorbers, thereby improving the quality and comfort of driving.

The new S-Class Coupé is set to hit the market before the end of 2014.
