is bringing back the Aero 8 sports car to the market. The official debut of the model is taking place at the Geneva Motor Show, with the model getting an updated chassis and suspension system and a new look inside and out.

15 years after the launch of the original Aero Eight, significant visual and mechanical changes have made the 5th generation of the model the most refined Morgan Aero ever. The two-seat Aero 8 is replacing the Aero Coupé and Aero Supersports in the Morgan range. The brand is predicting a production run of 300-350 units over a two-year period.

The new Aero 8 gets a significantly stiffer chassis as well as a completely new suspension. The sports car gets an outboard double-wishbone set-up at each corner and anti-roll bars. Morgan promises a more predictable and engaging handling as well as improved body control, low-speed ride and flatter cornering.

The front-end design of the new Aero 8 keeps some design traits of the previous model, but from the doors backwards is completely new. One of the main design cues is the way the fabric roof folds completely out of sight behind the two seats. The car is also offered with a removable hard-top ‘fighter cockpit’-style roof cover.

The Aero 8 is powered by the same BMW-sourced 372hp 4.8-litre V8 engine used in the rest of the  Aero range. The model will be offered with a choice between a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
