Audi Creates Massive Slot Car Track in Toronto

has created a massive slot car track at the Royal Bank Plaza in Toronto, Canada, that was open from September 10-24. The track appears to have a 12 feet by 6 feet footprint with three lanes. It has two levels with an underpass at one point. They even set up a small city and orange trees for scenery. Audi even hired someone to put the cars back in the groves when they inevitably come off, which is the worst job ever. Sadly, the first video lacks sound, but the second one has a camera mounted to a car with sound. This would be the best Christmas gift ever. 

Slot cars are a very weird type of fun. They reduce driving a car down to pressing the throttle, and that should be pretty boring. But it absolutely is not. The elements that create a good slot car track are equally difficult. The best tracks combine long straights and many corners, and they only way to achieve this layout is to have lots of space available.
