Bahrain Grand Prix canceled for 2011
The FIA released a press release today stating that the 2011 Bahrain Grand Prix has been canceled from this year's Formula One season. According to the press release, the vote by the FIA to change the race calendar was unanimous.
The inaugural Grand Prix of India will replace Bahrain and will take place on October 28-30, 2011. The Brazilian grand prix has been moved to the end of the season on November 25-27.
Originally, the Bahrain Grand Prix was scheduled to start the F1 season in March, but because of continuing political unrest, the race had already been rescheduled twice.
