BMW Announces New Factory in Joinville, Brazil

has officially announced its new Brazilian factory that will build 30,000 cars a year. The factory will be built in Joinville, Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina.

BMW says that it will invest €200 million a year in Brazil over the next few years to build the factory. It will employ over 1,000 people. 

“Brazil is a market with tremendous potential for the future for the BMW Group. For that reason, we are strengthening our long-term commitment to this country. This will create the necessary conditions for us to maintain the balance of sales between Europe, Asia and the Americas – and, therefore, for the long-term success of our company," said BMW Sales and Marketing Head Ian Robertson.
