BMW getting new GT3 racing car in 2016

, the German brand is already developing a successor and revealed the first image of the M6 GT3.

The new BMW M6 GT3 will only reach the circuits in 2016, however the brand reveals that the development process is already apace and that the first test should happen in the first quarter of 2015.

On track since 2010, the Z4 GT3 is a very popular vehicle among drivers and BMW officials state that the aim is not to disappoint the expectations of its customers with the new racing car. BMW wants to further demonstrate the quality of the product BMW M associated with motorsport. Through the first design sketches BMW believes the car will amaze.

For BMW M6 GT3 opted for BMW M Twin Power Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine with 4400cc. This engine is known of the range of the German brand, but in this case it was configured specifically for competition.

BMW will also optimize the chassis manually according to competition scefications. These changes will be made at BMW Motorsport's factory in Munich. Among other modifications to specific competition may include racing gearbox, ABS and electronics.

Right now BMW Motorsport is focusing its work on safety, reliability and reduced maintenance costs of the vehicle. With that BMW intends to offer the best quality to its customers without the new M6 GT3 becoming a very high financial burden.
