BMW X6 M Design Edition Adds Carbon Fiber and Merino Leather to 100 Cars

Design Editions that get styling additions inside and out and a higher quality of interior leather.

The exterior of the car gets 21in M Performance double-spoke wheels, black kidney grills, black mirror caps, carbon fiber front splitter, M Performance rear spoiler and black diffuser. The M Performance stripe decals are an optional extra. The X6 M Design Edition can be ordered in Alpine White, Sapphire Black or Melbourne Red metallic.

All of the cars get Merino leather, a bicolor instrument panel in Black and Mugello Red with Mugello Red stitching and Piano Black gloss interior trim. They all have headted front seats, head-up display, tinted glass and choice of either HiFi Professional or BMW Individual stereo. It also gets a numbered plaque with the edition number.

Mechanically, the Design Edition is identical to the standard X6 M with a 4.4-liter, turbocharged V8 with 547hp (555ps) and 502lb-ft of torque (680Nm) with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. All-wheel drive is also standard. The suspension is 10mm lower than a standard X6, and speed-sensitive steering is standard. The X6 M has four-piston, 395mm brakes at the front and single-piston, 385mm brakes in the rear.

The Design Edition adds €13.700, including German VAT, to the price of an X6 M, and it is only available to European buyers.
