Ford has finally put the 1.0 liter Ecoboost Focus up for sale in Europe.
Ford has a 100ps with 4.8l/100km of petrol and 109g/km of CO2 version and a 125ps version that uses 5.0l/100km of fuel and produces 114g/km of CO2. Both versions produce 170Nm of torque.
"Developing an engine this small and fuel efficient that still delivers good power and driving fun in a Focus-sized car would have seemed impossible just a few years ago,” said Ford of Europe Chairman and CEO Stephen Odell.
The engine is currently made in Cologne, Germany, and Ford plans to build it at its Craiova, Romania, plant later.
The 1.0 Ecoboost will later be used in the C-Max and B-Max.
