by the end of the year.

“The introduction of our new EcoBoost petrol engines has really helped us to go further in our drive to reduce our total fleet CO2 emissions, while still delivering great performance and driving dynamics. Add top-notch diesel engines and our range of low CO2 ECOnetic Technologies that are spreading to more and more vehicles all the time, and we are now delivering a comprehensive range of efficiency leaders to European customers," said Sherif Marakby, Director of Powertrain Engineering at Ford Europe.

Nine cars will have Ford's 1.0 liter Ecoboost engine with either 100ps or 125ps. It produces 109g/km of CO2 for the 100ps version and 114g/km of CO2 for the 125ps version. The cars with the 1.0 liter engine will be the FocusFocus 1.0i EcoBoost EditionFord Focus 1.0i EcoBoost ...United Kingdom, 2012 > present1 photo

There will also be the Focus ECOnetic Technology with the 1.6l TDCi that emits 88g/km of CO2 and uses 3.4l/100km of diesel. To get such good efficiency it has stop/start, regenerative braking, active grill shutters, Eco mode, a shift indicator, low rolling resistance tires, a cleaner catalytic converter, flatter underbody and longer gear ratios
