to transport the car for free to the French Riviera on vacation.

Owners just have to reserve a spot on the Auto-Train in Paris, and their car will be charged at a Nissan-installed Quick Charger at the loading area. The car is driven onto the train and is ready fully charged when it arrives at the Riviera.

Nissan has already installed 10 Quick Chargers around the Riviera for Leaf owners.

The deal between Nissan and the SNCF Auto-Train allows owners to have one, free round-trip journey and a 30% discount on all other Auto-Train trips. Owners still have to pay for their own train ticket.

Nissan estimates that if the owner were to drive in a conventional diesel family it would cost around €350 with fuel and tolls.

"Our partnership with SNCF not only gives people the freedom to take their beloved Nissan LEAF on holiday, but has the potential to change the way we travel to our holiday destinations in the future,” said Pierre Boutin, Managing Director Nissan France.
