design center and got an insider's look at the new Nissan Z car coming in 2014.

According to Nissan's head of design, the brand celebrates its 80th anniversary and wants to commemorate it by harkening back to one of its mostly internationally lauded model - the 240z.

The video shows two young designers working on the car along with a wall of sketches and a basic silhouette that they are aiming for. The new shape looks more like the original car than the past two generations ever did.

There is no discussion of engine or price; the video purely focuses on the new car's design.

At the beginning of the video, Leno drives a first year Fairlady Z in Japan that has been modified slightly with extended wheel arches. The car also has the longer nose that the Japanese cars got and covered headlights.

What would you like to see from a new Z car inspired by the original? Would it be better for Nissan to opt for a smaller engine, perhaps a tune of the 1.6-liter turbo in the Juke, and lower weight or should the Z always be a six-cylinder car? Is there another classic Nissan that the brand would be better served to revive?
