Lamborghini has filed a trademark for the word 'Deimos' that could be used for future models.
Deimos has three recognized meanings. It is a moon of Mars; the Greek word for dread; and in Greek mythology Deimos is the son of Ares and Aphrodite who was the personification of dread.
The name is clearly supposed to be show the aggressive nature of a coming Lamborghini model. The brand has discussed possibly releasing an SUV and a replacement for the Gallardo is likely in the future. The name would apply well to either car. It could also be a yet-unseen concept.
The image in the gallery shows the Lamborghini Estoque concept.
