Lamborghini finally unveiled its new limited edition supercar with 770hp, the
Centenario. Based on the
Aventador platform, the sports car that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of the founder Ferruccio Lamborghini is the most powerful supercar ever built by the Italian brand.
With a limited production of only 40 units, 20 coupes and 20 roadsters, the Lamborghini Centenario will cost 1.8 million euros and all the cars have already been sold.
Visually, the Centenario takes the design of the Aventador further with deeper air inlets and channels around the supercar body, giving it a much more aggressive look than the
Aventador Super Veloce (SV). Lamborghini says that the function has been placed in front of the form on the creation of the Centenario design, with a clear priority given to downforce. Proof of this is the extremely low nose and the huge rear diffuser.
The Italian brand has also added a rear wing that extends to a total of 150mm and turns up to 15º and offers a different downforce setting of the vehicle depending on the driving mode. However, the Centenario keeps the same roofline of the Aventador, it has similar headlights to the
Huracan and taillights inspired by the Y shape of the Asterion concept.
The 770hp output of the Centenario comes from the 6.5 liter V12 engine of the Aventador. However, this version is still 20hp more powerful than the Aventador SV, making this the most powerful model ever from the Italian brand. Thanks to it the Centenario can reach 100km/h in 2.8 seconds and 300km/h in 23.5 seconds. The announced maximum speed is 350km/h.
