Lamborghini chose the Monterey Car Week to reveal the convertible version of the celebration model Centenario. With a limited production of 20 units, all Centenario Roadsters have already been sold at a starting price of 2 million euros.
Based on the Aventador, both the
Centenario Roadster and Coupé have been created to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Italian brandfounder, Ferrucio Lamborghini.
Just like its Coupé sibling, the Centenario Roadster is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 6.5-litre engine with 770hp at 8600rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 100km to 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 349km/h. The Roadster version is 50kg heavier than the Coupé at 1570kg.
“Lamborghini prides itself on the relentless pursuit of experimentation. We are proud to unleash Centenario’s further potential in the form of a classic roadster; the perfect harmony between innovation and timeless design. This unique engineering achievement is a befitting tribute to Lamborghini’s extraordinary past and a preview of its brilliant future,” said Lamborghini boss Stefano Domenicali.
Inside the model receives a new infotainment system with 10.1-inch touchscreen which enables internet browsing and Apple CarPlay.
