has revealed the facelif version of the model 3. The Japanese brand has made mechanical upgrades on the 3 and made some interior and exterior changes.
In terms of exterior design Mazda worked on the 3 to bring it closer to the image of the current
CX-3 and other models of the brand's range. The headlights have received a more squared-off design incorporated in the chrome grille surround. The lights are available with LED technology. The rear has also received a few changes and the door mirrors have been fitted with wrap-around indicators.
The facelifted version of the 3 is equipped with Mazda's G-Vectoring Control (GVC), which aims to improve stability and comfort over long distances. The suspension has also been improved in order to improve comfort, while Mazda's Natural Sound Smoother (NSS) system is claimed to reduce the noise of louder diesel engines.
The Mazda 3 now features an electric parking brake and gets a new dashboard trim, switch panels and door handle bezels. The head-up display has a full colour display.
The new Mazda 3 is will arrive in Europe late this year. The powertrain line-up will continue to feature three petrol engines, the SKYACTIV-G 1.5 (100 PS) and two SKYACTIV-G 2.0 (120hp and 165hp). The diesel range will be composed by the SKYACTIV-D 1.5 (105hp) and SKYACTIV-D 2.2 (150hp). They are mated to a six-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual or SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission.
