In next month’s Geneva Motor Show, Mazda will world premiere the 20th Anniversary special edition of the MX-5, celebrating two decades of success of the roadster from the Japanese brand. This special edition will only be available in Europe and will have a limited production of 2000 units. It will be equipped with a special edition scuff plate in stainless steel with pan-European serial number,
The special edition MX-5 is based on the 1.8-litre soft top production roadster and will be available in three different colours: True Red, Crystal White Pearl and, specific for this edition, a new Aurora Blue. Besides the 20th Anniversary logos this special edition will feature a special exterior styling package with chrome grille, door handles and headlight fascia, silver-look fog lamp frames and specific 17-inch alloy wheels.
Ceebrating its 20th anniversary, the Mazda MX-5, also known as Miata in North America and Roadster in Japan was introduced in 1989 and is already in its third generation.

Besides the MX-5 special edition, Mazda has reserved for next months show in Geneva a series of presentations. The Japanese brand will be launching in Switzerland the all-new Mazda5, the next-generation SKY Concept, with the SKY-G petrol and SKY-D diesel engines, and the Mazda SKY-Drive automatic transmission (AT), and finally the new Mazda6 facelift.
