chassis but made to look more like Mercedes SUVs. The GLA will be shown to the public sometime next year and will go on sale in 2014. 

“The compact SUV will be 
the third model we will build here in Rastatt," said Mercedes CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche when the A-Class began production. The second model will be the CLA coupe. 

The GLA will likely share engines with the A-Class and be offered in front- and all-wheel drive. The 330hp, turbocharged four-cylinder coming in the new A45 AMG is a possibility for the SUV.
