. Its unique design will include a large front grille with the central large three-pointed star. The rear receives similar elements of the S-Class Coupé, including a rear window with a rounded top, narrow taillights and license plate incorporated into the rear bumper.
With 4935 mm long, 2044 mm wide and 1739 mm high, the Concept Coupé SUV should have almost the exact measurements of the future production model. If these values remain this means that the MLC will be 58 mm longer, 61 mm wider and 49 mm higher than the current X6.
For the concept version Mercedes opted for a V6 petrol direct injection twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine, with 332hp and 480Nm of torque. The engine is combined with Mercedes new automatic nine speed 9G-Tronic. This might even be the only box that will be available with the MLC and it works in conjunction with the four-wheel drive 4Matic system. An AMG version is also planned for the new model .
The vehicle also includes regenerative braking, automatic stop/start and coasting function to help reduce the average fuel consumption of the vehicle.
The MLC will be built alongside the C-Class, GLK, M and GL models in the Mercedes US factory in Tuscaloosa, in Alabama.
