. Now, Mercedes is considering not replacing the SLS immediately, and the 911-fighter would take over as a less expensive halo model, while Mercedes created a legitimate SLS successor.
The looks of the car still echo the SLS on a smaller scale, but it is dropping the gullwing doors. It will use the new twin-turbo V8 and an aluminum chassis and body.
It will launch first as a coupe and later as a cabriolet. Mercedes plans to launch the car in 2015.
