BMW is keeping mum on power. However, it appears that like the previous generationCooper S with John Cooper Works GP KitMINI (BMW) Cooper S with ...Germany, 2006 > present6 photos

engine with enhanced braking and significantly lower weight. That would indicate that it will be powered by a 208hp and 193lb-ft torque engine. Although, in theory BMW could turn the wick up on the turbo for a little more power.

The new GP has been taken to the Nürburgring Nordschleife by BMW and did a lap of 8:23, which is a full 19 seconds faster than the previous generation. The car is equipped with a race-spec suspension tuned for the road, better brakes, bespoke four-spoke wheels, sticky tires and retuned aerodynamics thanks to a new front bumper and rear wing.

In addition to the larger front and rear bumpers that offer more downforce. The car also gets deeper side skirts and a functional rear diffuser. Inside, the rear seat has been removed like the first generation.

BMW did not reveal a precise release date or price for the second generation GP.

If it comes out with that low ride height, looking very good. This from a former Cooper S owner, I like it a lot. And looks slightly less
