New Mégane family completed with the Coupé-Cabriolet

Arriving to the western Europe markets this month, the New Renault Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet is completing the renewing process of the Mégane family. With six different body types thanks the successive launches Renault has been able to rejuvenate its lineup in Europe’s biggest segment in a period of one and a half years.

The New Renault Mégane Copé-Cabriolet has graceful lines that, together with the tinted black glass roof, handle the vehicle elegance and unique style. Its length and wheelbase have grown in comparison to the previously model, more 130 mm (to 4,485 mm) and 87 mm (to 2,609 mm) respectively. The front end comes with the New Mégane family's hallmark sweeping feature line across the bonnet as well as the same bumper of the Coupé version. The boot-lid has been redesigned and incorporates the upper part of the new rear light clusters. The back of the new Coupé-Cabriolet should become easily recognizable thanks to its two LED tail-light patterns.

One of the biggest features of the Coupé-Cabriolet is the large folding glass roof, which is intended to create a symbolic link between the coupé and cabriolet functions. The folding glass roof in this model has become the largest of the segment.

For the New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet Reanult will make available a range of six engines: three petrol and three diesel engines. The petrol range is composed by the 1.6 16V, the 2.0 16V and the turbocharged 1.4 TCe 130, with outputs between 110 and 140 HP. The dCi 110 DPF, the dCi 130 DPF and the dCi 160 DPF are the three diesel engines available for the new Coupé-Cabriolet.

Renault will also include in the New Renault Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet line-up two specifically sporty versions: New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet GT Line and New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet GT.

The New Renault Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet is produced at Renault's Douai plant, in northern France, together with Scénic and Grand Scénic. With this new open-top vehicle Renault continues to expand his range under the brand’s new signature 'Drive the Change'.
