. The engine range will include Nissan’s 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine and a diesel option. Nissan is putting an emphasis on interior quality for the new car and wants it to be better than the Golf. It will have features like gloss black trim, a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth and Nissan’s camera-based safety systems.

Later, a Nismo high performance version is likely to directly take on the GTI.
