1.4 LPG ecoFLEX that also runs on gasoline.
In LPG mode, the engine produces 86hp (87ps). It uses 6.9l/100km and emits 112g/km of CO2, which is 50% better than running on petrol. It has a 500km range on LPG and a combined 1,200km range.
The engine features reinforced valves and valve seats and a new ECU. The 35-liter LPG tank is in the floor under the luggage compartment, but there is no change in rear cargo capacity.
In the cabin, there is a range gauge on the dashboard that shows the remaining range for gasoline, LPG and combined fuel. The car switches automatically between fuels if one tank runs low, and there is a button on the dashboard to force it into either mode, if the driver wishes.
The LPG model is produced entirely at the Eisenach factory as the Adam is being built, rather than being retrofitted afterward. The LPG tank has a protective cover installed to protect it in an accident.
Prices for the LPG version start at €16,150.
