Renault updates the Zoe

has released an updated version of the electric model ZoeRenault Zoe Gen.1France, 2011 > present12 versions

. The French brand says that the range was increased to 240km.

Renault made some changes on the R240 synchronized electric motor and also on the electronic management of the vehicle.

The engine of the new Zoe is lighter and more compact than the version launched in 2012. With a lower power consumption and faster charging capacity, Renault believes it can attract more customers to its electric model. The power and torque have remianed unchanged from the current Zoe, with 88hp and 220Nm.

Zoe also receives a new version of Chameleon charging system that enables faster charging, with 3kW and 11kW chargers. In addition the vehicle can be charged with 22kW fast charging points.

The new version of Zoe hits the market towards the end of the year.
