knows that it needs help in Europe. Its sales in Europe have fallen 14.9% in the first six months of the year. That is why it has tapped Stefan Müller, the current member of the executive board of the German ADAC motoring club and lobbying group, to become the chairman of the newly formed Renault Europe region.

Renault Europe will have the unenviable task of trying to fix Renault's European operations to become profitable again. This is the first time that Renault has specifically separated its European operations with a separate head. Its five other regions each have their individual heads.
