Renault announced on the 2012 Paris Motor Show the new Renaultsport Clio that uses a new 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 200hp and a dual clutch, six-speed transmission.

Renault has done a lot to make the Renaultsport version sportier than the standard car. It gets a front bumper with movable front blades, and the rear gets a diffuser and spoiler. The car also gets a different front and rear bumper, LED running lights, side sills, dual exhaust and 17in wheels. Inside, the Renaultsport gets boost instruments for the turbo, aluminum pedals, aluminum paddle shifters, sport seats with large side bolsters and touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Bluetooth and USB. The new 1.6-liter turbo engine is exclusive to the Renaultsport for now. It produces 200hp and 240Nm of torque. The torque peak is reached from just 1,750rpm, and the engine redlines at 6000rpm.
