Korean automaker Ssangyong will have an interesting concept at Geneva - a convertible SUV called the XIV-2.
The XIV-2, which Ssangyong says stands for "eXciting User Interface Vehicle 2," is the concept for a future SUV with a covertible top. The vehicle would theoretically be available with a 1.6 liter diesel or 1.6 liter petrol engine if it goes into production.
The design is reminiscent of the Kia Track'ster that was just shown at the Chicago Motor Show with two doors and a very thick C-pillar. The image with the convertible top open seems to show a major flaw with this design. If you notice when the top is down, it is impossible to see out of the rearview mirror. I guess drivers will get really good at driving with their sideview mirrors.
The XIV-2 will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show.
