BMW has quite a show planned for the Geneva Motor Show on March 6. It plans to have seven new cars at the show, four of which are world premieres.
The first big world premiere will be the four-door 6-Series Gran Coupe. It is BMW's attempt to compete with cars like the Passat CC and Mercedes CLS. BMW is going to offer three versions of the car: the 640i with 320hp, the 640d with 313hp and the 650i with 450hp. The 650i will also have optional all-wheel drive.
The M6 will also get a world premiere at Geneva. As we already covered, it uses a 4.4 twin-turbo V8 with 560hp and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It has optionally available carbon brakes and accelerates to 60mph in 4.2 seconds. It uses 9.9l/100km of fuel.
BMW will also have the new M Performance diesels at Geneva. The M550d, X5 M50d and X6 M50d. BMW also announced the 1-series M Performance edition yesterday, but it might not be at Geneva.
The redesigned X6 will also be at Geneva with optionally available LED headlights.
The new 3-series ActiveHybrid will be presented at Geneva and will go into production soon.
It will also have the 125i, 125d and 116d Efficient Dynamics at the show. The 125i and 125d both produce 218hp, and the 116d Efficient Dynamics has 116hp and uses 3.8l/100km of diesel.
Finally, BMW will have the i3 and i8 at Geneva. Both cars are supposed to go on sale by the end of 2013. So it is possible that we could see more production ready versions.
