The X4 is scheduled to launch at the New York Motor Show in April and will look very similar to the concept version shown in 2013. The engine range will be shared with the X3, and an eight-speed automatic transmission will be available.

At about the same time, the X3 will be refreshed to get a similar front end as the X4.

In the latter half of the year, BMW will launch the second generation X6 based on the platform underpinning the third generation X5. The second generation is rumored to have much more aggressive styling than the current car.

Finally, as 2014 closes, BMW will launch the M versions of the X5 and X6.
