Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is Fastest Roadster Ever

How many more variations of the Veyron can Bugatti come up with. Regardless, it can now claim the mantle for the fastest roadster ever produced thanks to the new Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse's 1,200hp output that will rocket the car to 100km/h in 2.6 seconds and an eventual top speed of 410km/h.

Bugatti had to make fairly substantial changes to build the The Grand Sport Vitesse. It uses the 7.9 liter W16 from the Veyron Super Sport with 1200hp plus all-wheel drive. The suspension has be retuned with faster responding dampers, and the ESP has been slightly retuned to let the rear slide a little more. The car also gets new, lighter 20in wheels. Bugatti claims it will pull 1.4g laterally. The brakes have larger cooling ducts to deal with the extra power.

The body of the Vitesse receives some modifications over even the standard Grand Sport. There is a new roof spoiler that keeps interior noise down. Bugatti claims the interior remains quiet at up to around 200km/h. The larger air intakes, front spoiler and rear diffuser from the Super Sport have all been adapted to the Vitesse.

The interior utilizes mostly carbon fiber, aluminum and magnesium. The entire center console and door inserts are made from carbon fiber, and it is used in many pieces of trim.
