in China with a market-specific 2.0-liter turbo engine in Shanghai.

The Chinese XTS is basically identical to the North America version other than the engine. It still comes with a magnetic ride control suspension and CUE infotainment system.

“We are reaching the next level of Cadillac growth in China. This expansion in localized assembly for our brand in China coincides with the strong momentum of our new product portfolio and significant growth in the dealer network," said Bob Ferguson, vice president of Cadillac.

Cadillac has 150 dealers in China and will grow to a total of 250 dealers in two years. Cadillac sold 30,000 cars in China in 2012 and wants to grow to 100,000 annual sales by 2015.

Cadillac builds the XTS in two locations worldwide - Shanghai and Ontario, Canada.
