Dodge is adding its 173hp, 2.4l, four-cylinder engine to the SXT trim level on the Journey to give a more efficient engine option on a better equipped car. It is also dropping the base price by $1,500 to $22,995 with the four-cylinder.
The four-cylinder option boosts highway fuel economy by 1mpg. It comes standard with 17in wheels, 4.3in touch screen, push-button start, leather-wrapped steering wheel, fog lights and LED tail lights. A larger 8.4in touch screen is also an option. The four-cylinder engine is only available with front-wheel drive.
As a special for this March the Flexible Seating Package will be available for no extra charge. It adds 60/40 tilting seats in the second row, three-zone HVAC and third row 50/50 folding seats. It is normally a $995 option.
The SXT had previously only been available with the 283hp 3.6l Pentastar V6. Buyers can still upgrade to the Pentastar for the previous base price of $24,495.
