Electric cars sales have become a reality at Citroën as the French brand has started receiving orders for its two first EV cars: the C-Zero and the Berlingo First Electric. Citroën has already received approximately 1200 orders, 400 of the C-Zero and 800 for the Berlingo.
These private and professional customers have found in Citroën’s electric cars a practical and adapted solution.
At the Paris Motor Show, alongside the C-ZERO, the brand is presenting the Citroën Berlingo First Electric “Powered by Venturi” bearing the colours of the French post office, La Poste. In fact 250 postmen will be driving these cars in October across France.
In a few months it will be the time for Raiffeisen Leasing to receive its initial delivery of 140 vehicles.
With more than 800 Citroën C-ZERO units having already been ordered, most of them will head to companies in Europe, with 400 ordered by Raiffeisen Leasing in Austria, 53 by Choose EV in Denmark, and the rest by other customers in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and France.
In Norway some 63 private customers seem to have succumbed to the charms of the C-Zero and last Friday Citroën signed its most recent contract, which involves 250 C-ZERO cars for the short-term rental company National/Citer. This company will become the first in the rental business to set up a fleet of this size of full-electric vehicles.
