lead designer Greg Howell says that an SRT version of the new truck is a possibility if it can be profitable.
"They will try just about anything. I don’t think anything's off limits to SRT. They'll try and see if the business case makes sense. And if we can make money on it – it's gotta make money not just break even – we'll go for it," he said.
Steve Bartoli, Jeep's Head of International Product Planning says that a high performance SRT version of the Cherokee is a possibility if it can be shown to be profitable.
"I think the chassis has a lot of legs to it. The suspension is really good, nothing's impossible, especially with that platform. I think we have a lot of flexibility with it," he said.
