Following the launch in March at the Geneva Motor Show of the Aventador Superveloce, Lamborghini has just unveiled at Pebble Beach the roadster version of the faster version of the Aventador.
As it will happen with the
Coupé version, the
Aventador Superveloce (SV) Roadster will have a limited production of 500 units, which is expected to be sold out very quickly. The SV are lighter and more powerful versions than the standard version of the Aventador.
With a 50hp increase in output, to 750hp, and 50kg less, 1575kg, in comparison with the
Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster, the SV Roadster offers a power-to weight ratio of 2.1 kg/hp . The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Roadster Superveloce is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 650Nm of torque which ensures an acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and achieves a top speed above 350km/h. The 750hp output is sent to all four wheels through an automated manual seven-speed gearbox.
Like the coupé version, the SV Roadster has a more minimal cabin, in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle, and includes carbon fiber fabric seats and trim elements in the same material. Detailing of the interior also uses Alcantara and leather.
The Aventador Superveloce Roadster also features a removable hardtop, with a quick-release system that only adds 6 kg to the vehicle. According to Lamborghini the design was optimized in the wind tunnel in order to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The rear window can be raised or lowered inside the cabin, working as a wind deflector when the vehicle is running without the roof.
