Lexus 2013 ES350 and ES300h Goes on Sale with Better Handling and New Style

on sale in the US. The car has a completely new design, chassis, a hybrid option and the new Lexus spindle grill. 

The ES has two power options: either a 3.5l V6 with 268hp in the ES350 that is carried over from the previous generation or a new 2.5l, Atkinson cycle four-cylinder with a hybrid drive with 200hp in the ES300h. It gets 40mpg in the city and 39mpg on the highway. Both cars comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. Both cars have a drive mode selector that has an Eco mode that favors fuel economy and an EV mode only on the ES300h that forces the car to run electrically. 

For better steering, Lexus has fitted the sixth generation ES with a faster 14.8:1 steering rack, compared to 16.1:1 before. Lexus also used more high-strength in the car that increased rigidity, and it fitted the underbody with plastic panels to clean up the air flow. The wheelbase is 1.8in longer than the previous generation and overall length is up 1in. 

The ES comes standard with NuLuxe seating that is a fake leather with reduced environmental impact. Real leather is also optionally available. The available colors are  Black, Light Gray, and Parchment. An optional, 8in hard drive-based navigation system is also available. Inside, the rear headroom is up 0.8in, rear knee room is up 2.8in and leg room is 4.1in better. The driver gets a new, 10-way power adjustable seat or a 12-way power option.

Lexus is known for safety, and it has fitted the new ES with a variety of optional systems to keep the driver and other drivers safer. Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Alert and Pre-Collission System are all available on the car. 

The ES350 and ES300h go on sale in the US in just a few weeks, but Lexus has not announced the cars' price yet.
