Lotus Announces Orders for Exige S Roadster in New Video

at the Geneva Motor Show in early March 2012. Now, over a year later, it says that it is finally taking orders for the cars and deliveries will begin in the summer. It has been quite the wait.

The Exige S Roadster is meant as the current pinnacle open-top Lotus. It uses a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 with 345hp and 295lb-ft of torque, which is enough to get it to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and to a top speed of 233km/h (145mph). It weighs 10kg less than the coupe. It comes with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automated manual.

It will also be available with the Race Pack that adds launch control and a super-stiff suspension setup, which Lotus says it really only meant for the track.
