Mercedes-Benz CL Grand Editon Offers Top Level Appointments as Discount

To mark 60 years of S-Class coupe models, Mercedes-Benz will offer the CL Grand Edition in 2012 that gives buyers luxury appointments inside and out for a 38% discount. 

The CL Grand Edition takes selected pieces from the usually optional 'designo' range of options and adds them to the CL. On the outside that includes platinum black metallic, mocha black metallic and for an extra €1,500 matte finish magno cashmere white. It also gets the AMG Sports Package that adds an aggressive front and rear apron and different side sills. Buyers also get a choice of 20in wheels with either a 5-spoke or 10-spoke design.

Inside, the Grand Edition gets analine leather in either armagnac, deep black or porcelain. It also has ash and walnut wood trim. 

Mechanically, the Grand Edition gets either the 4.6l V8 from the CL500 with 320kW (435hp) or the CL600 with the 5.5l biturbo V12 with 380kW (517hp). All Grand Edition cars also have active suspension. 

The Grand Edition adds €4,850 to the cost of either the CL500 or CL600. There are additional options with the package like the matte paint, blind spot assist, active lane keeping and adaptive highbeams.
