. Prototypes have been spotted testing in Europe, and the car appears to a smaller version of the SLS. It has conventional doors, rather than the SLS’ gullwing doors. A convertible version is planned for launch later.
The car will use an aluminum space frame platform with a semi-composite body. The suspension will use double wishbones in the front and multi-link setup in the rear.
Mercedes plans to reveal the AMG GT at the Formula One German Grand Prix in July at Hockenheim. It will use AMG’s new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that will have about 500hp. The engine will also be used in the next generation C-ClassMercedes-Benz C-Class 5Germany, 2014 > present95 versions
