which intends to create a sportier and more sophisticated vehicle.

According to Mitsubishi, the Outlander PHEV Concept-SOutlander PHEV Concept-SMitsubishi Outlander PHEV...Japan, 2014 > present adopts a more sophisticated interior and exterior design with the aim to enhance the driving experience of the first Plug-In Hybrid SUV available on the market. The Concept-S adopts the concept of "Sporty and Sophisticated," with a combination of 4X4 performance, silent usage and roadholding provided by the PHEV system.

The design of the Concept-S seems to be inspired by Mitsubishi's most recent concepts, mainly the XR-PHEVConcept XR-PHEVMitsubishi Concept XR-PHEVJapan, 2014 > 2014 and the GC-PHEVConcept GC-PHEVMitsubishi Concept GC-PHEVJapan, 2014 > 2014, vehicles presented at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

Originally launched at the Paris Motor Show 2012, the Outlander PHEV has a pure electric range of 52km, a combined consumption of 1.9 l/100km and a full range greater than 800km.
