is one of the most anticipated cars that we know is on the horizon. While the car is not slated to go on sale until 2015, it got its first public lap over the weekend at the Indy 200 race for the IndyCar Series at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The site was chosen because the NSX is being developed and built at a new site called the Performance Manufacturing Center about an hour away from the track.

The car did several laps of the track before the start of the race and was driven by a member of the engineering team.

The car was the latest evolution of the car’s design and sported blacked-out headlights. It was painted blue with the “Acura NSX” name painted over it in a lighter blue color.

"With leadership from our R&D and manufacturing teams here in Ohio, we are developing a next generation sports car that will be equally at home on the street and on the race track, so it is natural for us to showcase the prototype vehicle here at Mid-Ohio," said Ted Klaus, chief engineer of HondaHondaHondaJapan, 1948 > present102 models

The next-gen NSX will use a mid-mounted V6 with an electric motor connected to the engine and two other electric motors connected to the front wheels to give the car all-wheel drive. It will also use Honda’s new dual-clutch transmission to send the engine’s power to the rear wheels.
